Job Summary: The Music Director/Organist will oversee and lead the music ministry, including planning and coordinating music for worship services, special events, and church functions. This role involves directing and accompanying choirs, collaborating with ministry leaders, and enhancing the overall worship experience. CLICK HERE for the full job description.

Primary duties include:

·        Oversee the music program

·        Direct choirs, and collaborate and support other musical ensembles

·        Worship planning and coordination

·        Music program administration

·        Spiritual leadership

Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of directing church music programs and worship planning is preferred.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Music Ministry, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of music education is ideal.  The candidate must exhibit:

  • Strong knowledge of vocal techniques

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in choir directing, organ accompaniment, and leading music programs. Candidates possessing at least one of these skills will also be considered, as we are open to splitting the roles into Organist/Accompanist and Music Director. Salary is negotiable based on experience and position and ranges from $20-$28 per hour. Work hours will be between 10-20 per week depending on position.
